Description: A happy marriage between Scottish heritage and Japanese blending know-how. Peaty and chocolatey notes are present, while the grain whisky sweetens the malt, resulting in a powerful, well-balanced whisky. Tunnel-matured and conscientiously blended by Chugoku Jozo’s Master Blenders, the alcohol content is then reduced using pure spring water from the Sandankyo mountains. Close to Hiroshima, Chugoku Jozo has been producing a range of liquors, sakes and shochus for almost a century, with their first blended whisky being released in 1990. The raw materials are carefully selected by the Master Blender, following scrupulous criteria and attention to detail. He then personally takes care of the maturation and blending processes, adding his own special Japanese touch. Maturation takes place within a unique setting – a 361 metre long tunnel dating back to 1970, offering a constant temperature of 14ºC and 80% humidity – the perfect aging conditions., Ingredients: Scottish Malt, Canadian Grain, Manufacturer: Les Whiskies du Monde, 77 Avenue Kennedy, 33700 Merignac, France.
